Transplant list and Dad

My father is very sick. I know most of you know this, however it has gotten worse.

They've removed him from the transplant list for now. He needs to build up some muscle mass, they fear he would not make it off the table. He is SO depressed, it kills me.

He also has a very high fever and a staff infection. I thought about going down there next weekend, but being the selfish person I am, I just can't. I can't see him this way, it is not the way I wish to remember him. g

There's so much more that I need to write about. Joe, the upcoming birth of my very first grandchild, but all I can really think about is my father right now.

If you're so inclined to, please say a prayer for him, light a candle, send positive thoughts... whatever is your thing, he can use it all.

Thank you.

sending thoughts and prayers to him and to you my friend. So sorry for your news. Don't call yourself selfish - it's okay to want to remember him in better health. I had to do the same a few years back. It's so hard and we blame ourselves for not being there and being stronger, but sometimes we just have to do what will keep us okay too. hugs

Lisa, Annie and Yaya...

Thank you so much for your words of comfort and support. You three are my favorite bloggyland friends and I really feel fortunate to have you in my life, even if it is just written words, all three of your words mean so much to me you'll never know!

And Yaya, I can't believe I'm going to be a grandma either. I'll have to dedicate a post to it, since it probably got lost in my dads post.
